comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
how we use your information
We use collected information to provide and improve services (respond to inquiries, deliver projects, maintain the Site, diagnose issues), for marketing and insights (send newsletters, event invitations, or product updates you opt into; analyze engagement to refine messaging), for contractual and legal obligations (fulfill contractual obligations, enforce terms, satisfy legal requests, or defend our rights), and for security and fraud prevention (monitor, detect, and deter malicious or unauthorized activity). We never sell your personal information.
cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies including essential cookies (to keep the Site secure and functional), analytics cookies (Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar to understand traffic patterns), and marketing cookies (LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel, etc., to measure ad performance). You can manage cookies through your browser settings or opt-out tools. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
how we share information
We may share your information with service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing with data-processing agreements and least-privilege access), business partners (co-hosted webinars, joint marketing, only with your prior consent), legal authorities (to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or to protect rights, with validation of requests and minimum necessary disclosure), and successors (merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with this Policy continuing to govern unless you’re notified otherwise). We do not sell or rent personal data for monetary value.
international transfers
We operate globally; your data may be processed in the U.S. and other jurisdictions. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable safeguards to protect cross-border data flows.
sensitive data
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (e.g., health, biometric, precise geolocation). If you voluntarily provide it, you consent to our processing solely for the purpose supplied. Do not share sensitive data unless strictly necessary.
how long we retain your information
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Your privacy rights vary by region: in the EEA/UK (GDPR), you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, data portability, object, withdraw consent; in California (CCPA/CPRA), you can know, delete, correct, opt-out of “sharing,” limit use of sensitive info; in other U.S. States (CO, VA, CT, UT), similar rights apply where applicable.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Contact us via email at [email protected] to exercise your rights.
security
We employ industry-standard safeguards such as HTTPS, encryption at rest/in transit, MFA for admin access, regular audits, and least-privilege controls. No system is 100% secure, but we take data protection seriously.
third-party links
Our Site may link to external sites we do not control. Review their privacy policies as we are not responsible for their practices.
embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
automated decision-making
Magtyne does not use fully automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
policy updates
We may revise this Policy periodically. We’ll post the new version with a revised “Effective” date and, if changes are material, notify you via prominent notice or email.
